This bee is a smaller version of the one seen in LEGO Ideas House in Billund.
To shape the body of a large model like this, I always start out by building with large bricks. This allows me to make changes quickly.
The first version of the bee had very transparent wings. The client didn't like this look, so 1x2 transparent plates were ordered to replace the wings.
The new design of wings also allowed me to add a pattern to them.
The model is fairly sturdy, even though it is not glued.
The client was so satisfied with the design that many addition models were ordered.
