Interactive Harbour 2.0 is a LEGO project with a standard based on the 20ft container (see building instructions for models on brickhub.org).

The standard spreader used on a straddle carrier which can pick up and stack containers. A straddle carrier can be controlled using a standard LEGO powered Up controller, such as those that come with LEGO City trains.

The standard container can be stacked onto trailers that follow the old standard from 2012. Use your imagination to decorate the sides. The "canvas" is 28 x 10 pixels.

Doors in both sides can be opened for ease of repair should there be an accidental drop during play. The tiles on top can be used to identify whom the container belongs to.

Vehicles and trailers can carry and move containers around, such as these AGV's which have the same foot print as a container.

There are building instructions for this spreader. It is activated by pressing the center section down.

Once pressed down, the hooks in the corners dig in and the container is ready to be picked up. The yellow alignment wedges make cranes easier to use. The straddle carriers do not need the wedges on the sides, but tests have shown that wedges make it much easier for all to align correctly when playing.

Interactive Harbour was first shown at LEGO World in Copenhagen, 2012. Back then LEGO Power Functions was used to control cranes and trucks.

The big red Ship to Shore container crane could move containers between the trucks and ship.

Back in 2012 the layout included trucks, trains and construction equipment.

There was even a mix of Technic and City.
