This was a small project for Vestas. They have a specific wing, the V164, for a windmill which they would like a model a model of in LEGO. The main challenge with this model was to truthfully recreate the very aerodynamic, and also characteristic, shape of the wing.
For this project I used Griddy on schematics of the wing.
There were also CAD-drawings which helped me with the design.
The first version was made before I had received the CAD files and was thus lacking accuracy. I was also waiting for parts to be delivered in white.
The wing was improved, but was still missing the steeper slope toward thicker end.
After several iterations, I was able to incorporate the all of the important curved and sloping sections to a satisfying level.
The final model was placed on a stand for display.
